Montanari & Gruzza is taking a major step toward environmental sustainability with the installation of a new ground-mounted solar power system rated at 999.92 kWp. This initiative is designed to reduce our environmental impact and actively support the energy transition.
This project is part of a broader strategy focused on environmental responsibility and industrial innovation, aiming to fight climate change through the adoption of renewable energy and improved energy efficiency.
Thanks to this new system, we will be able to generate a significant portion of our energy needs in-house, while reducing CO₂ emissions and our dependence on the national power grid.
Of the total annual production, 71% will be used for self-consumption (covering about 50% of our current energy needs), while the remaining 29%, in partnership with Renergy, will be made available to a new renewable energy community (REC).
This community, called ReCer Unindustria Reggio Emilia, will allow SMEs, third-sector organizations, and private citizens who join to lower their energy costs and access renewable energy sources—without having to build their own system.
Project Goals
Goal | Estimated Value |
---|---|
Annual self-generated energy | Over 1,396,602 kWh/year |
Reduction in energy drawn from the grid | About 50% of current consumption |
Reduction in climate-altering emissions | Over 605 tons of CO₂/year |
